All-on-4 and All-on-6 are implant methods for completely or severely edentulous patients in which a fixed full-arch prosthesis is attached to 4 or 6 implants, allowing the patient to leave with temporary teeth on the same day. What Are All-on-4 and All-on-6?

All-on-4 is a full-arch rehabilitation concept developed by Nobel Biocare in which a fixed bridge prosthesis is attached to 4 implants. All-on-6 is the version with 2 additional implants in the posterior region for greater support. In both methods, implants can be placed at an angle according to bone quality, eliminating the need for bone grafting.

Treatment Process

3D CT and planning: Implant positions are determined with a digital surgical guide.
Extractions (if required): Can be performed in the same session.
Implant placement: 4 or 6 titanium screws are placed in the jaw.
Temporary prosthesis (same day): An acrylic temporary bridge is fitted on the same day.
Healing period: 3–6 months of osseointegration is awaited.
Permanent zirconia prosthesis: The high-aesthetic permanent bridge is screwed in place.

Yes. In the All-on-4 / All-on-6 protocol, a temporary acrylic bridge prosthesis is fitted on the same day after the implants are placed. The permanent zirconia prosthesis is screwed in after osseointegration is complete (3–6 months).

Generally not. The angled implant placement technique allows posterior bone loss to be overcome. However, in cases of very low bone density, grafting or sinus lifting may be required; we determine this with a 3D CT scan at the clinic.

The fixed prosthesis is cleaned like a fixed bridge: a water flosser (oral irrigator), interproximal brush and nightly denture cleanser are used. Soft food is recommended for the first 3 months. Clinical check-up and professional cleaning every 6 months.
